Returns & Refund Policy – Bonny Blooms
We have a 30-day return policy for eligible non-perishable items, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
Due to the live and perishable nature of dahlia tubers, rooted cuttings, and live plants, all sales are final and live plant material cannot be returned once shipped. Any issues with shipping damage or plant health must be reported according to our replacement and guarantee policies.
Orders that have already been packed, processed, prepared for shipping, or shipped are subject to a 25% restocking fee if canceled or returned during our shipping season. This fee helps cover labor, packaging materials, handling, and reserved inventory associated with live plant fulfillment.
Returns
To be eligible for a return on approved non-perishable items:
• Your item must be unused, in the same condition you received it, and in its original packaging.
• Please include the original packing slip if possible.
To request a return, contact us at customerservice@bonnyblooms.com. Once approved, we will provide return instructions. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.

Damaged or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order immediately upon arrival and contact us within 24 hours if an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect. Clear photos of both the item and packaging are required for all claims.
Due to the live and perishable nature of rooted cuttings, live plants, and dahlia tubers, shipping stress and minor cosmetic damage may occur during transit and do not necessarily affect the long-term health or viability of the plant. Minor yellowing, soft growth, bent stems, broken leaves, or cosmetic imperfections are not considered grounds for refund or replacement.
Claims involving live plant material are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. At the sole discretion of Bonny Blooms, we may offer a replacement, store credit, partial credit, or another resolution where appropriate. Refunds for live plant material are not automatically issued.
We are not responsible for:
• Carrier delays
• Weather-related transit issues
• Damage caused after delivery
• Improper planting, watering, acclimation, or growing conditions
• Minor cosmetic damage or normal shipping stress
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
The following items are non-returnable:
• Live plants, rooted cuttings, tubers, flowers, or other perishable goods
• Custom or special-order products
• Gift cards
• Sale items
• Soil, fertilizers, amendments, or consumable products
• Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
Cancellations
Orders may be canceled by emailing customerservice@bonnyblooms.com before processing begins.
Canceled orders are subject to:
• A 10% cancellation/restocking fee for unprocessed orders
• A 25% restocking fee once an order has been packed, processed, prepared for shipment, or shipped
Because inventory is reserved specifically for customer orders during our limited seasonal sales windows, cancellations after processing significantly impact our small farm operation.
Exchanges
If you would like a different item, the fastest option is to place a new order once your approved return has been processed.
EU 14-Day Cooling Off Period
If your order is shipped into the European Union, you may cancel or return eligible non-perishable items within 14 days for any reason. Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
Perishable live plant material is exempt where applicable under law.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your approved return, we will notify you of the outcome. Approved refunds for eligible items will be processed to your original payment method within approximately 10 business days. Additional processing time may occur depending on your financial institution.
Please note that live plants, rooted cuttings, tubers, and other perishable plant material are not eligible for automatic refunds. Any resolutions regarding live plant claims are handled case-by-case at the sole discretion of Bonny Blooms and may include replacement or store credit rather than monetary refund.
Dahlia Tuber Guarantee
All dahlia tubers are guaranteed to sprout under proper growing conditions.
To qualify for the sprouting guarantee:
• Clear photo documentation is required
• Contact must be made within 30 days of delivery
• Tubers must not be cut, altered, or damaged
• Tubers must be sprouted indoors prior to planting outdoors
Tubers planted directly outside before sprouting are not covered under this guarantee.
Different varieties sprout at different speeds, and environmental conditions greatly affect performance. Customers are responsible for documenting tuber condition upon arrival and prior to planting.
If a tuber blooms incorrectly, contact us and we will help identify the variety and provide the correct variety in a future season where appropriate.
Important Growing Information
Dahlias are living plants and growing success depends heavily on timing, environment, weather, pests, and grower care.
Tubers and rooted cuttings are especially vulnerable during early establishment. Damage caused by rodents, slugs, snails, pets, excessive moisture, drought, frost, heat, or other environmental conditions is not covered under our guarantee.
We strongly recommend sprouting tubers indoors and gradually acclimating rooted cuttings before planting outdoors.
