Rich burgundy flowers with deep, shadowy centers are carried on stems above distinctive dark purple to bluish-grey foliage, creating contrast from the moment the plant emerges until frost.

Reaching 5 feet, this vigorous variety produces impressive 6-7 inch informal decorative blooms throughout the season. Selected for its strong growth, reliable tuber production, and excellent overwintering ability, it has proven to be as dependable as it is striking.
