Grower’s Notes:
One of my longest-standing favorites. I’ve grown Maaike for over a decade, and it’s never let me down. The blooms are tightly formed and about two inches across, with a rounded pompon shape and layers of soft petals that open in a warm pink.

Early blooms can lean solid pink, but as the season gets going, the flowers mellow to a lighter pink with creamy centers, almost like a miniature 'Wizard of Oz'. The soft coloring and tidy shape make it an ideal addition to delicate arrangements or to simply enjoy in the garden for its gentle charm.

Plants grow to around four feet, bloom steadily, and produce a strong flush with regular cutting. Stems are thin but firm enough to support the small blooms, and the plant itself is well behaved and easy to grow.
